Report of a Committee appointed by the to investigate the Number and Condition of Parochial Libraries belonging to the Church of England. Crown 4to., pp 125, blank with wine coloured tops, tail edges uncut and with 4 plates from photographs. Publisher's white buckram sides with wine coloured corners and backstrip. Gilt decorated and ruled spine, gilt title to upper board, tinted endpapers. Publisher's printed dustjacket of grey cartridge. The dustjacket is a centimetre short on its height as in other copies noted, so it would seem that this was a publishing fault. In this example the jacket has been preserved in an archival sleeve and has been loosely backed by a grey cartridge sheet to full size, so the volume looks well when shelved. The book is handsomely set in 12 point Baskerville and this is copy number 87 of only 500 copies. 'With an Historical Introduction. Notes on early Printed books and their care and an Alphabetical List of Parochial Libraries Past and Present.'
